Our HR Service has recently strengthened its capacity so it can focus on supporting our workforce with the skills, knowledge and behaviours to be the best they can be. Working holistically with our HR shared service - GMSS in partnership with Greater Manchester Police, we have a great shared platform to strengthen and grow our HR talent and service offer.

Due to the internal promotion of the current post holder into a different team within HR, we now have a great opportunity.

About You
We are looking for an exceptional HR generalist to undertake this key role within the Workforce Strategy Team. You will have the skills and experience to: undertake a range of activity which will include: supporting employment initiatives including our Apprenticeship scheme; undertaking Job Evaluation; managing aspects of the Occupational Health contract, researching and drafting basic employment policy with support; supporting with the design and delivery of health and well-being initiatives; supporting employee rewards and benefit schemes and events.

You will have:
• Intermediate (level 5) qualification in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
• Recent, relevant experience of providing advice and support to senior managers on HR policies, procedures and employee relations matters.
• Recent, relevant experience of developing and delivering flexible, practical solutions to meet service needs, preferably within a unionised environment.
• Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues, clients, stakeholders, customers, teams and individuals both within and outside of the organisation.
