Senior Practitioner - Community Learning Disabilities Team
Adult Services

Do you remember why you first came into social work? We do!

That’s why we have developed our Reshaping Care approach - a reaffirmation of social work values within a person-centred approach which promotes independence and progression for people with learning disabilities and their families.

In Trafford, we are also well on the way to implementing an all age structure for children with complex and additional needs and people with learning disabilities. This will deliver a lifespan approach which promotes the development of everyone’s full potential by ensuring that help and support is available at the earliest opportunity.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Trafford Council’s Children, Family and Wellbeing Adult Services as a senior practitioner within the learning disability team. You will provide leadership, management, support and guidance to social workers and social work assistants within a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with our experienced and skilled health colleagues.
You should have significant community experience at a senior level with at least 3 years’ experience of working in an adult social care setting (with two years at level 3).

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role within the team and make a real difference.

The Children, Families and Wellbeing Service is committed to safeguarding and
Promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expects all staff to share this commitment.
