Grade G – SCP 23 £26,999 to SCP 28 £31,371 per annum

36 hours per week on a flexible working rota, to include sleep in shifts, and weekend working

We are looking for a Senior Community Support Worker, who will work as part of a team providing 24 hour care within the Children’s Residential Services for Looked After Children. You will be working in a busy 6 bedded Children’s Home caring for Children and young people with disabilities including challenging behaviour and complex medical needs. You will be responsible for managing and supervising staff as the shift leader.

Hours of work are evening, Night and day shifts as part of a flexible working rota and sleep in duties. You will be expected to train and supervise staff under the direction of the manager and be able to manage the building in the manager’s absence

You must be committed to a comprehensive Induction and Training Programme and will be required to be qualified to NVQ 3 Level in Caring for Children and Young People, Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare, or an equivalent award, and have the relevant residential and child care experience.
