Medicines Optimisation Technician

MHCC is one of the largest health and social care commissioning organisations in Greater Manchester, responsible for the planning and purchasing of high quality, safe and effective patient services.

We are currently looking to recruit motivated and enthusiastic pharmacy technicians with excellent clinical and communication skills to join our forward thinking team providing medicines knowledge and information to support the safe and effective prescribing of medicines across Manchester.

You will work closely with practice based pharmacists and practice staff across Primary Care Networks and contribute to the financial stability of local and wider health care systems through the promotion of high quality, effective prescribing and avoiding medicines waste.

To succeed in this role you will work effectively as part of a team and have with the necessary skills to lead and support junior colleagues in the holistic care provision to patients across health and social care, promoting effective and safe medicines management.

A qualified pharmacy technician registered to practice with the General Pharmaceutical Council with relevant post qualification experience, you will be adaptive, flexible and open to leading and contributing to a variety of work streams and project and the ability to influence and negotiate practice to improve outcomes for patients.

You will be based at Parkway 3, Parkway Business Centre, Manchester M14 7LU and required to travel across the Manchester footprint.
