WELFARE ASSISTANT

 
7.5 hours per week, term time only (11:30am – 1:00pm or 11:45am – 1:15pm)

 
Salary: Grade A: £2,866

Oakdale School is a primary special school and nursery for pupils, some with complex health needs and others with severe and profound learning difficulties

The Governing Body of Oakdale School wish to appoint a willing, enthusiastic and caring Welfare Assistant to work as part of a skilled team in helping to make lunchtimes a safe and happy experience for our children. You will assist our pupils with day to day living skills e.g. help with choosing and eating a healthy lunchtime meal within the dining areas of school. Pupils also need help with personal hygiene and help in developing play skills in the school playgrounds

This post is a designated customer facing role and so the ability to converse at ease with pupils and staff in accurate spoken English is essential
