Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced, highly motivated, committed and caring teaching assistant to work with and support children in Key Stage 2. The hours of work are 8.30am – 3.30pm (32.5 hours per week) working for 39 weeks. This is a Temporary post from 1st September, 2019 until 31st August, 2020 in the first instance.

The successful candidate will:
- love working with children
- have the skills and knowledge to support all aspects of children's learning
- have a teaching assistant qualification at Level 3 or equivalent
- have experience of planning and preparing learning activities
- use effective strategies to promote positive attitudes to learning
- work well with other staff and agencies
- be motivated, have a positive attitude and enjoy a challenge
- have the ability to inspire children and provide high quality learning experiences
- be an excellent practitioner with a desire to help children achieve
- have very high expectations of children's attainment and behaviour
- behave in a professional manner within a team environment
- have the ability to work positively with children, parents and other stakeholders
- have a high personal level of mathematics, grammar, spelling and punctuation

SPAG observations and interviews will take place on Friday, 28th June, 2019
