MEMBER SERVICES OFFICER - DEMOCRATIC SERVICES


LOCATION: Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters, Fulwood, Preston, PR2 3LH
SALARY: Grade 6 SCP 18-25 £24,313 - £28,785 (pro rata).
WORKING ARRANGEMENTS: 18.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday mornings, flexitime working arrangements.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service is looking to recruit a part-time Democratic Services Officer to join a small Democratic Services Team providing support to Combined Fire Authority Members, Senior Fire Officers, colleagues and members of the public.

The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of committee administration and an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and political sensitivity. You will have an excellent standard of written English, be able to write clear and accurate minutes and be able to provide procedural advice to Members and staff in relation to Authority matters.

Your main duties will include administering and clerking various committees and working groups, providing senior administrative support to Members, preparing formal and informal reports and leading on specific projects.

You will be able to meet statutory deadlines, be highly organised, flexible and proficient in IT.

The closing date is 9 September 2019, 12 noon, with the interviews being held on 27 September 2019.
