Social Worker MARAT
Children's Services

Trafford Children, Families and Wellbeing directorate has brought together the separate services of the different statutory agencies in the Council and the Health Trusts, working in partnership with Children, Young People and Families, Schools, Colleges, Police and the Voluntary Sector to create a new integrated multi-agency service.

We have received positive feedback from OFSTED following announced and unannounced inspections which identified strengths such as “child protection concerns are managed very well” and that staff received “good management support, supervision and training”.

The Social Worker role requires a recognised social work qualification and up to date experience of working with children and families. You will have a sound knowledge of legislation relevant to the posts and a demonstrable insight into the issues facing children, young people and families. With strong communication and assessment skills, you will have the ability to develop effective working relationships with families and colleagues from multi agencies.

Our commitment to you is a competitive package, outstanding support from experienced managers, a manageable workload, regular supervision, quality training and the opportunity to build on your strengths. You must be registered with the HCPC.

For an informal discussion, please contact Lisa Gordon on 0161 912 5097.

The Children, Families and Wellbeing Service is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults. We expect all staff to share this commitment.
