TECHNICAL OFFICER ASSISTANT

36 Hours per Week, Permanent
Salary: Grade G SCP29 £26,470 to SCP32 £29,055

Location: Wilshaw House Wilshaw Lane Ashton-Under-Lyne

An opportunity has arisen to join the Sensory Service within Adult Services as a Technical Officer Assistant. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who can prioritise and respond professionally to the needs of the Deaf and hard of hearing service users.

You will work as part of a team within the Sensory Service and work closely with the Rehabilitation Officer for Deaf and Hard of Hearing people. The role will involve assessing the needs of people with a hearing loss and provide service users with the necessary advice and environmental equipment to help people with a hearing loss (mild to profound) to be independent.

You will have substantial experience of working in a caring role within a social care setting. You will be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills and the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary setting with service users, carers and colleagues.
