The Family Information Service is recruiting to the position of Outreach Officer.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant and busy team that provide impartial information, advice and guidance on a range of subjects including, childcare options, early education funding and SEND related services available to children, young people and their families.

You will work alongside key partner organisations to ensure that information is delivered accurately where it is needed most across Trafford.

You will need to have substantial experience in an advice and guidance role and hold a relevant level 3 qualification.

We are ideally looking for a community language speaker as the position will cover the north of the borough but it is not essential.

It is important you have knowledge and understanding of the needs of local communities and families in Trafford, alongside excellent organisational skills and experience of partnership working.

Good customer service skills, the ability to deal sensitively with difficult situations and to communicate with people from a wide variety of backgrounds is also crucial.
