OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT

Secondment Cover - Full Time, Fixed Term Contract

Grade F Salary Grade £23,836 –£26,371 per Annum

Location: Primary Care Centre, 193 Old Street, Ashton-Under-Lyne, Tameside OL6 7SR

Are you enthusiastic, committed and passionate about improving the lives of people who have Disabilities?
Do you have a proven track record of innovative practice and problem solving?
If you can answer yes to these questions this is your opportunity to join a dynamic multi-disciplinary team within a locality neighbourhood.

You will need to have a good knowledge of relevant legislation, sound assessment, problem solving and good computer skills.

You will work out in the community and have experience or knowledge of carrying out needs led assessments for people with disabilities and their carers, providing equipment and making appropriate recommendations for minor adaptations with the support of supervising Occupational Therapists.

You will be able to work independently, be a good team player, and have proven organisational skills.
In return you will be part of a large supportive team that includes, Occupational Therapists, Social workers, assessors, manual handlers and Health & Wellbeing Advisors, social prescribers and District Nurses. In addition there is also excellent management support for your continuing professional development.

This post carries an authorised casual car user allowance.

This post requires an enhanced DBS Disclosure.

This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English.
