Salary: Grade E SCP19 £5,427 – SCP23 £6,054 pro rata per annum

Clerks provide professional support to governing bodies to enable them to maximise the performance of the school and support the progress of pupils. You will join a team of colleagues who provide a professional and supportive clerking service to school Governing Bodies. Use of a car is essential. Access to a computer and the internet from home is essential as much of the work will be home based. You will also need to be able to travel as necessary. Regular training and support in all areas is provided through a programme of team meetings, training days and personal development programmes which you are required to attend, (the schedule of which is already set in place) so that all clerks are in a position to advise on the interpretation of regulations relating to school governing bodies.

Additional hours may be available for clerking ad hoc meetings as may be required.

Please contact Lorayne Cooksey – Governor Effectiveness and Support on 0161 342 3206 to discuss any queries you may have about the role and to discuss the hours / meeting arrangements.
