As a forward thinking authority the council has successfully delivered on a number of regeneration schemes and is currently working on a series of ambitious initiatives to drive economic recovery. Our current portfolio includes:

- Locally led Regeneration Frameworks for our town centres
- Fleetwood Heritage Action Zone
- Project Neptune – a 40,000 sq ft food and fish processing development

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated professional with excellent communication skills to join the council's Economic Development Team.

This is a hardworking, friendly and high performing team and the role offers the opportunity to assist senior officers to develop and deliver bids for funding and projects relating to economic regeneration initiatives.

The successful candidate will also support key partners and organisations, such as local Town Centre Partnerships, to deliver the action plans of their Regeneration Frameworks which are likely to include projects related to the public realm; site redevelopment; transport and the digital economy.

A qualification in a Business related subject is desirable. The applicant should have good customer care and organisational skills so as to be able to support the delivery and promotion of public consultation activities, the Wyred Up business support programme and annual business awards scheme.
