The Orchard’s School caters for children aged 3-11 with a wide range of needs, from moderate to complex with specialisms in cognition and learning, communication and interaction, physical and sensory and children with complex medical conditions. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our innovative and inspirational Special School on its journey to become a beacon for SEND provision.

We are seeking 2 outstanding teachers to join our high performing school. This post would be suitable for either newly qualified, recently qualified or experienced teachers. Special school teaching experience is not essential, however a solid knowledge around working with children with additional needs is. We are looking for: -
· Teachers who understand the importance of their role in safeguarding children and have a good working knowledge of legislation and practice around this.
· Teachers who are able to understand individual needs in order to differentiate and modify lessons to set progressing, challenging targets and plan high quality learning experiences.
· Energetic team players with a relentless positive approach and excellent communication skills.
· Candidates with high expectations and aspirations for all children.
· Bundles of imagination and innovating ideas to motivate, challenge and inspire all pupils to be the best that they can be.
· Teachers willing to immerse themselves in all aspects of school life and able to contribute ideas to further enrich the vision of the school.
· Flexible and well organised professionals who understand the importance of genuine collaboration between teachers, children and parents;
· An interest in and/or an ability to contribute to music development within the school would be an advantage.
