Head of APSE Training
Starting salary £50,979 per annum
With the potential to earn a further £8,678 PRP
APSE is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified trainer to manage APSE’s training arm. The Head of APSE training will be based in the Manchester office, however, the nature of the role will require travel throughout the UK to deliver and coordinate training courses.
As the Head of APSE training you will be a suitably qualified trainer, preferably with experience of the local Government sector. You will be required to design and deliver both public courses and bespoke training courses as required by local authorities. In addition you will manage a pool of expert associate trainers who will also deliver training courses.
Applicants should be qualified trainers with a wide ranging skill set, experienced in delivering a wide range of courses. The successful candidate will have good business acumen, be able to spot training opportunities and build good customer relationships, to promote APSE’s training offer. They will be able to manage budgets, be well organised, able to coordinate a busy training programme and have experience of working in a commercial environment.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, self motivated and charismatic champion for APSE. He / she will be able to demonstrate a commitment to front line public services as well as the ability to network with colleagues and local government peers.
APSE’s head office is in Old Trafford, Manchester, however the training programme is delivered UK wide. The salary scale reflects the requirement for out of hours working and a significant amount of travelling throughout the United Kingdom.
