25 hrs/ week (5 hours per day) Monday to Friday
Band 3, Band PT6 to PT11, FTE £19,171 to £21,116 (pro-rata) 13221
Permanent (subject to a probationary period)
TERM TIME – 1.15pm to 6.15pm (includes 1hr 45mins admin support/planning time)
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS - Either a 7.30am to 12.30pm shift or 1.15am to 6.15pm shift (Please note the club is closed for the Christmas break and this is taken out of annual holiday leave)

The Headteacher and School Governors from Wellfield Infant and Nursery School are seeking a highly committed and professional individual to join the management team of the school’s popular “Wishing Well” out of hours club.

The Wishing Well service provides for pupils aged 3 to 11 years from both Wellfield Infant School and Wellfield Junior School. The two schools share a large and attractive site with plenty of outdoor space. Our team consists of a diverse range of dedicated professionals. The Manager is a trained Sports Coach and we also employ a Forest School Leader. We are particularly looking for an enthusiastic and creative Deputy Manager to support the Club Manager in continuing to develop the team and the opportunities the club provides for the children. The hours of work include daily opportunities to support with planning and development of the play environment.

The successful applicant will:-
· Hold a relevant qualification to at least NVQ level 3 or equivalent suitable qualifications that would support the role
· Have experience of managing staff/ leading a team
· Have a sound understanding of the current legislation relating to the Safeguarding of children and the responsibilities that go with this
· Have a successful history, (minimum 2 years’ experience), of working with children and young people in the primary age range and planning activities for them, both indoors and outdoors
· Be competent in the use of ICT – including experience of working with Word and Excel
· Be hard working, professional and reliable and keep good time keeping
· Be an effective communicator and be able to work effectively with all stakeholders including school leaders and parents and carers
· Be committed to the ongoing development of the growing club and it’s team
· Have experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and demonstrate sound knowledge and understanding of inclusive practice
