The Governors are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant level 2 with SEN experience. The post holder will be required to work in KS2. There is a possibility of this contract being extended.
Primary Purpose of the job:
Posts would involve working with, supervising and supporting pupil(s) in the
classroom under the close supervision and direction of the teacher. Support would
be in the form of encouraging, prompting, reframing, working on basic skills and
keeping the pupil(s) ‘on task’.
The Children, Staff and Governors would welcome applications from candidates who have:
• Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
• NVQ level 2 or equivalent
• Confidence in implementing strategies to support the child’s learning and development
• The ability to work as part of a team
• Be hard working and able to use your own initiative
• The ability to enable all children, as individuals, to thrive in your care
• Experience of working in an educational setting with SEN children
• An understanding of P Levels / PIVATS
• Able to set clear boundaries and have experience of a range of behaviour management strategies
