The role will work closely with the Head of Finance (s.151 Officer) and be instrumental in helping to shape the Financial Services Team. The Deputy Head of Finance will lead on the preparation of the Council’s Budget and Statement of Accounts under the direction of the Head of Finance and will be responsible for the production of the Collection Fund.
Digital transformation is a key strand to the Council’s Business Plan and the post will be responsible for overseeing the development and operation of the key financial systems including the Civica integrated ledger system and Civica Payments cash receipting system.
You will co-ordinate all work relating to monitoring the Council’s revenue and capital budgets and produce regular reports to Members during the course of the financial year.
The successful applicant will be an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
