Initially temporary until 31 August 2018
Band 3 - £17772 to £20138 per annum (pro rata for 39 week contract)
32.5 hours a week - 39 week contract (term time)

The Governors of this successful and popular school wish to appoint a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) primarily to support a child with additional needs in the Infant Department. 
 
This is initially a temporary position until 31 August 2018 pending a review of the school staffing structure, as the school has only recently been formed by the amalgamation of Flixton Infant School and Flixton Junior School.
 
A diploma in Childcare and Education; NVQ 2 in Children’s Care, Learning Development (CCLD); NVQ 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning; Foundation degree in supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualification and experience of working with/caring for children is essential. Experience of supporting children with additional behavioural needs in a mainstream school setting is highly desirable.

You will be:
 
· Patient and caring, with a calm and confident approach with children;         
· Experienced in the classroom environment, and pro-active in supporting learning;
· A good communicator with adults, parents and children;
· Able to work on one’s own initiative.
