Salary: Grade 6 – £25,801 - £29,636 (pro-rata)
Hours: Up to 37 hours per week

Rossendale Borough Council is looking to appoint a Communications Officer. This role is an exciting opportunity to support the Council’s Communications function, to include internal and external communications, public relations, promotion, marketing and tourism. The Communications Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day communications and media handling.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a Communications role and be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in a related subject. You will also have an awareness of local government procedures and able to work in a politically sensitive environment. Ideally you will also have a recognised qualification in Public Relations, Marketing, Tourism, Communications or Journalism.
