SOLICITOR/LEGAL EXECUTIVE

Full Time - Permanent

Salary Grade I: £34,106 to £37,107 per annum

Location: Guardsman Tony Downes House, 5 Manchester Road, Droylsden, Manchester, M43 6SF

Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council, as the administering authority of Greater Manchester Pension Fund (‘Fund’), is looking for a capable and confident lawyer interested in working for the UK’s largest Local Government Pension Scheme Pension Fund in a prominent role in a service which is at the leading edge of LGPS reform and development.

The post is within Pension Fund Legal and the primary objectives of the post are to carry out for the Fund the legal work relating to a range of high value and complex commercial property transactions, property development transactions, commercial investments, pensions issues, public procurement matters and all related research and advice.

There may also be miscellaneous areas of work which will include complex aspects of legal work arising from the Fund’s investment and administration activities.

This post offers exciting opportunities for development in a dynamic and supportive team environment and would suit a newly qualified solicitor or a legal executive with the desire and potential to become a successful property/local government/pensions lawyer within a supportive environment.

The job is based at the Fund’s offices in Droylsden.
