PERMANENT SOCIAL WORKERS

Duty and Safeguarding Teams

36 Hours, Permanent

Salary Grade H: £29,909 to £35,229 per annum
(Inclusive of a temporary market supplement of two spinal column points)

Located: The Denton Centre

We have fantastic opportunities for newly qualified and experienced social workers to join us as we continue to make a real impact on children’s lives.

Working in one of our Duty or Safeguarding teams, you will be centrally located with colleagues who are passionate about delivering the best possible service to vulnerable children.

You will have the opportunity to put your previous experience to good use while you manage a diverse caseload. As you will expect, we are looking for Social Workers who can undertake effective assessments of need and co-ordinate the provision of the appropriate services.

This post is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English in the person specification

This post requires an enhanced DBS Disclosure.

On appointment you will be paid the starting salary for the grade, and progress to the maximum salary for the grade through the council's annual increment process. In cases where an individual can evidence that their existing salary, in a relevant role to which they are being appointed is higher than the starting salary, then a higher salary within the grade salary range may be considered in accordance with the Council's pay framework. Individuals appointed above the starting salary for the grade, but not at the maximum salary, will then be subject to the annual increment process until they reach the maximum
