SYSTEMS IT LEAD – DEVELOPMENTS & TECHNOLOGIES

Be part of our Systems Maintenance & IT team
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer focused individual to join our Systems Maintenance & IT team. This is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys providing 2nd and 3rd level IT support to join a team who are passionate about delivering a high-level of service to pension fund members and internal users.

Key tasks include providing support to all users, performing system housekeeping routines, working to resolve faults or issues relating to hardware, software or network problems and liaising with supplier and contractors. In particular, you will take the lead on tasks linked to our pension administration database system, Altair, and on the management of GMPF’s websites.

You will need to have good IT skills and be able to support others with technical or complex areas of work. You will need to be a good problem solver, thorough and accurate in your work, and understand the importance that IT infrastructure has on our ability to deliver high standards of service.

About GMPF
The Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF) is a regional pension fund that administers the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). It is run by Tameside MBC and is based in Droylsden.

GMPF is one of the largest pension funds in the country and is the largest LGPS fund in the UK. We have over 375,000 members, over 600 employers and last year paid out over £748 million in benefits. The Systems Maintenance & IT team is part of the Administration section. 124 employees currently work within the Administration section of the Fund.
