Project Worker 1 - Tameside, Greater Manchester Locality

Based: Greater Manchester Locality Tameside Children's Rights & Return Interviews For Missing Children Service, Stalybridge Community Fire Station, Rassbottom Street, Stalybridge SK15 1RF

Full Time: 37 hours per week

Salary: £17222.52 - £23427.96 p.a.

Project worker 1
The worker will:

- Build trusting, positive and respectful relationships with children, young people and their parent/carers
- Work towards achieving return interview service targets: completing return interviews with young people who have been reported missing within 72hrs of the missing episode
- Complete a Return Interview, following Greater Manchester and Tameside Borough's protocols
- Advise children/young people regarding safety planning
- Refer and signpost children/young people to other agencies
- Complete risk management records
- Attend fortnightly Missing from Home panel meetings alongside the police, social care and other key partners
- Share intelligence and relevant information with partner agencies to keep the young person safe e.g. Police, Social Care - Give information, advice and guidance to parents/carers by: phone, email or in person - Have a positive, flexible and enthusiastic approach to a fast moving service
 - Be solution focussed
- Participate in networking opportunities
- Demonstrate team working skills i.e.; cooperating, supporting, learning from others, being respectful at all times, sensitive, recognising every members contribution
- Efficiently and effectively completing key administration tasks including IT skills, data collection and reporting systems promptly
- Provide a prompt response to police and social care enquires
- Ability to work on their own and follow lone working protocols
- Supporting the collection of data to contribute to service evaluations and reviews
- Complete personal studies
- Complete quarterly feedback forms, evidencing work for the commissioners
- Keep data and Childrens records up to date
- Participate in team meetings and training opportunities
- Work as an outreach worker across Tameside and out of the Borough of Tameside, where Tameside children are placed.

The post holder must be able to work, Monday-Friday, including flexible hours with the availability to work up until 7pm and occasional weekends. The post holder must be able to drive and have a car available to use daily at work.
