Across Greater Manchester, we are making the call for you to join us as the UK battles through its worse health crisis of a generation.

We are looking for friendly, caring, compassionate and dependable people to help us through this. That’s where you come in. 

You may have never considered a role in the public sector previously, but with many businesses temporarily closing, you will have transferable skills that we need.

Working in partnership with our local NHS and CCG we are looking for people to fill a variety of roles, including:

Social Worker

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Social Workers to join our teams. We provide support to adults and / or their carers who may be eligible for assessment and care services under the Care Act 2014. It is essential that you hold a current valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work use.

Advanced Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP)

The successful candidate must be an approved AMHP, registered with Social Work England. Abilities will include remaining organised despite high levels of work pressure and changing priority needs; work will be undertaken with the appropriate support and supervision of the AMHP lead. It is essential that you hold a current valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work use. 

Home & Community Support Worker

Come and join the Home and Community support team in the provision of high quality care in the community promoting and maximising a person’s level of independent living. You will be required to work in a practical and positive way to enable Service Users to regain confidence and to motivate them in regaining daily living skills. It is essential that you hold a current valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work use. 

Long Term Support – Support Worker

Can you make a positive contribution by supporting Adults with Learning Disabilities in their own home or Flat to lead an independent and meaningful life? We require people who have the skills to work with individuals who can sometimes challenge services, and/or have very complex needs. 

Community Response Worker

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who can prioritise and can react calmly to emergency situations. The Community Response Service provides a 24 hour, 365 days per year emergency response service to vulnerable people living within the borough of Tameside. The service responds to a variety of emergency situations and liaises with a wide range of other agencies as dictated by individual circumstances, including Emergency Planning the Council’s first response to incidents and emergencies and in cases supplying and monitoring numerous Telehealthcare devices. 

Various hours available on a casual/temporary basis working over 7 days per week including evenings/nights. Experience is not essential for some of the above roles, and appropriate training will be provided. 

Interviews will be held via telephone or video call, with recruiters looking to match your skills to the roles available.
