We are the Equality and Human Rights Commission. We stand up for freedom, compassion and justice in changing times. We do it by promoting and upholding equality and human rights ideals and laws across England, Scotland and Wales. Our work is driven by a simple belief; if everyone gets a fair chance in life, we all thrive.
We are now looking for someone exceptional to join our Research team who shares our values of fairness, dignity and respect and can work with us to build upon our achievements and ensure our vision becomes a reality.
Are you a research specialist interested in uncovering, understanding and monitoring progress on the biggest equality and human rights challenges in society today?
Can you apply your professional skills and knowledge to quickly determine, develop and deliver the optimum means of meeting diverse evidence needs?
Are you ready for the challenge of working in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment, with high levels of delivery responsibility and creativity?
The Commission’s role is to challenge discrimination, promote equality of opportunity and protect and promote human rights. Our issues have rarely been more topical; whether it's addressing equal access to the labour market, ensuring that the rights of those held in institutions are protected, or promoting respect for equality and human rights within our education system, our remit enables us to make a real difference in British society.
This is a chance to work as a research professional, across varied high-profile equality and human rights issues, in the heart of a dynamic and relevant organisation.
We are looking for high calibre professionals to help the Equality and Human Rights Commission build its robust evidence base and maintain its reputation as a ‘centre of excellence’ providing clear analysis and insight.
We currently have one permanent role available immediately and will keep a reserve list for future vacancies.
The Commission welcomes applications from everyone and we value diversity in our workforce. We are committed to being an exemplar employer with an inclusive culture, developing a workplace environment where all our employees are treated with dignity and respect. This is central to our recruitment process, therefore we actively encourage applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds.
