Trafford Council and NHS Trafford CCG require a Programme Lead to support the delivery of our vision for integrated care.  This will involve the transformation of primary and community care, development of new delivery models and system integration throughout Trafford.

About the role

The transformation plan for Trafford is large scale and ambitious, and the organisations within it have agreed to work together to design and implement a sustainable system of integrated care.  To support this, the organisations have agreed to establish a work programme with the aim of designing and implementing system changes in order to deliver strategic benefits across the Health & Social Care system.

The role will provide programme management expertise and capacity in support of the delivery of our vision.  You will be responsible for leading and managing a large scale transformation portfolio through leadership of the Programme Management Office. The role has responsibility for managing complex change workstreams, resource deployment and stakeholder relationships.

About you

You will have a proven track record in managing complex change projects with multiple stakeholders so excellent organisational and interpersonal skills are important to manage successful stakeholder relationships and bring the project(s) in on time and within budget.

It is important that you are comfortable in working autonomously and as part of a team to ensure delivery of the work plan, liaising with officers at all levels to get the job done.

You will need to be a quick learner, good communicator, able to juggle priorities and work at pace, a flexible team player and proactive problem solver. Being enthusiastic about working hard for Trafford to make a positive difference for our residents is essential.

It is also essential that you have strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, and you are organised and self-motivated to produce high quality results.  You should have significant experience of leading complex projects within a PRINCE 2 or equivalent methodology.
This role will suit someone with the experience of managing a Programme Office and who thrives in an environment that depends on excellent customer engagement.

Secondments will also be considered with approval from your current employer.
