FINANCE ADMIN ASSISTANT

36 Hours per Week, Permanent
Salary: Grade C SCP13 £17,391 to SCP15 £17,972

Tameside Council and NHS Tameside and Glossop CCG have a single Director of Finance and are have recently implemented the integration of both finance teams. The team are co-located and support the management of a current year £ 900 million gross revenue budget allocation. Services are supported via a business partnering approach providing financial advice, guidance and expertise throughout the whole organisation. Having recently been awarded Finance Team of the Year, the finance function is at the forefront of delivering a modern proactive finance function.

We are not resting on our recent success and seek to building and develop the team further. We are therefore looking for a number of roles for proactive, motivated and dynamic individuals with the ability to succeed and drive change. Candidates will also have high performing track records of achieving solutions, can operate as part of a team with the ability to work in partnership.

This role will support the Financial Management Team across a number of financial administrative tasks including:

• Support the budget monitoring, final accounts and year-end processes across the Financial Management team.

• Reconciliation of accounts and creation and maintenance of supporting documents

• Raising Purchase orders, supporting salary monitoring, supporting the Treasury Management administration, Cashiers and Schools Financial Administration.

• Support the Financial Management function, being actively involved in supporting services and our own team in the day to day financial tasks.

The successful candidates will also be required to support additional initiatives that will deliver efficiencies to the financial management service and across the wider organisation.
