Salary Grade F: SCP17 £23,836 – SCP22 £26,317
Weekend and unsociable hour’s enhancements

Casual Position Only

Location: Stockport Road Children’s Home and across 4 TMBC Mainstream Children’s Homes

The residential service is a 24 hour, 7 day a week provision and shift patterns vary accordingly.

Do you consider yourself to be a caring, patient, enthusiastic person who enjoys a challenge, is highly motivated and not easily discouraged? Do you understand the needs of young people and want to make a difference to their lives? Have you had experience in childcare or youth work? Are you committed to young people and have the skills to manage more complex behaviours?

Applicants must be aged 21+ due to occupational requirements in line with The Care Standards Act 2000.

Hours of work may include waking night shifts (for which there is one third Enhancement), overnight sleep in duties (one off payment) and also day shifts to ensure 24 hour cover.

Successful applicants will be able to access a comprehensive Induction and Training Programme and will receive regular support through supervision. Successful applicants will be added to a list of casual staff and will be called upon to cover staffing shortfalls within the service such as annual leave, sickness etc.
