We are looking to appoint an inspiring, caring and highly motivated Home School Liaison Officer to join our school team. The position will be to support children who require help in overcoming barriers to learning in order to achieve their full potential. The appointed person will be responsible for providing a complementary service to teachers and other staff, addressing the needs of pupils who require further support through a range of interventions and engaging their families. The position is temporary until 31st August 2018 in the first instance.
Requirements:
- High standards and expectations in all areas of school life
- Ability to form excellent partnerships within the school family and other agencies
- Values a teamwork approach with the ability to complete CAF’s and lead Team around the family (TAF) meetings
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare written reports in preparation for child protection meetings
- Ability to monitor attendance and punctuality through the use of SIMS
- Committed to raising pupil achievement, emotional and social skills with excellent skills in engaging families and the confidence to visit parents at home to discuss issues and problems
