The Employment and Skills Team at Tameside is recruiting a Project Officer, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to work on projects that help people get into employment. You will work with a wide range of people on different projects at the same time developing and delivering the employment and skills agenda in the Borough. We also hold several high profile public events throughout the year working with schools, businesses, councillors and many different partners.

Your job will be to work with senior officers in the team on a variety of projects including schemes/grants, public events, high profile networks and meetings, analysing data and report writing, and general administrative duties such as taking minutes and diary management. You will be busy but it’s a great chance to learn about local government work; you will be able to increase your skills fast. We have a strong track record of development and progression within our team.

We need people who are flexible, willing to help, self-disciplined and are prepared to work hard. You will have a good education, be an excellent communicator, efficient, organised, and able to juggle competing demands.
