Rossendale Borough Council’s Economic Development Team working in partnership with the Whitaker CIC is looking to appoint a Whitaker NLHF Project Manager for The Whitaker Experience: our Past, our Present and our Future.

This post is an exciting opportunity to manage the circa £2m expansion of the museum into the adjacent barn and stables building which has been made possible by a grant award by the Heritage Fund and made possible by lottery players; as well as working with the Whitaker CIC to implement associated project improvements.

You will be responsible for the project management with experience of both capital and revenue funding. You will need to be professional at all times and have an ability to bring about successful outcomes in complex environments whilst maintaining financial and output targets.

You will need an honours degree or above and have experience of a wide range of projects involving heritage and culture, a successful track record of delivery and a recognised project management qualification.

This post will be jointly based in the Council’s Offices at Futures Park, Bacup and the Whitaker Museum, Rawtenstall. It is expected that the post holder will work the required hours across 3 days per week.
