Assistant Head Teacher
School Leadership Teaching



The school is seeking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational teacher to join the senior leadership team to help to realise the vision and ambitions of the school. The specific responsibilities will be agreed with the successful candidate.

This post represents an exciting opportunity to work with the leadership team on our journey to outstanding. The person appointed will play an active part in whole school leadership and management. All members of the leadership team have a range of whole school responsibilities and line management accountabilities for curriculum areas. The Leadership Team also take on the responsibility for maintaining positive behaviour around the school on a day-to-day basis and modelling the high standards and expectations we have of all staff and students.

We believe that this is an ideal post for someone who is ambitious, prepared to work hard and firmly committed to developing the life chances of all young people. This is an excellent professional opportunity and a route to the higher echelons of school leadership. You may be an outstanding middle leader ready to take the next career step or be a more experienced senior leadership member who relishes the exciting challenge of leading.

The successful candidate will:
• be an outstanding practitioner with evidence of a whole school responsibility and experience of turning policy into effective and successful practice
• be able to inspire and motivate staff through your own best practice
• have a track record of behaviour management skills
• has high personal expectations of their own achievement and professional development
• lead by example, setting high standards for all
• be energetic, creative, resilient and able to take on the challenges in this exciting, vibrant school
• have excellent communication skills and demonstrate openness and honesty;
• be an outstanding team player who enjoys working collaboratively
• have a belief in inclusion and the right of each pupil to maximise their potential, whatever their background need or abilities
• have a belief in the right of every child to receive a full education, which is more than just qualifications
