16 – 17 year olds = £7,892 per annum
18 – 20 year olds = £11,087 per annum
21 plus = £11,144 per annum

About GMPF
The Greater Manchester Pension Fund (GMPF) is a regional pension fund that administers the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). It is run by Tameside MBC and is based in Droylsden.

GMPF is one of the largest pension funds in the country and is the largest LGPS fund in the UK. We have over 355,000 members, over 600 employers and last year paid out over £748 million in benefits. 130 employees currently work within the Administration section of the Fund.

The apprenticeship role
We are looking to recruit a customer services apprentice to assist with a number of customer service related tasks being undertaken by the Pensions Administration section of GMPF.

The main objectives of the post are to provide information and assistance to people visiting GMPF’s offices, assist with pension member events and provide general office support to all teams.

You will be required to work closely with your manager and team to deliver an excellent and professional service to all our stakeholders. You will need to work well with other people and independently, be able to manage your time effectively and be able to develop good computer skills. You will also need to be working towards a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner Standard apprenticeship with the training provider.

Please note that this role is only open to applicants who are not studying for or hold an NVQ or any equivalent qualification at the same level or higher in the field applied for.

You will be invited to complete a test if your application is successful. If you score highly on the test you will then be asked to an interview for us to further assess your suitability for the role.
