Trafford are looking to recruit two AMHP or experienced social workers willing to complete AMHP training to join our team. Working within the Adults Community Mental Health Team in Trafford, you will be based in a fully integrated multi-disciplinary team managed by Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust and will work alongside colleagues from nursing, occupational therapy and medical backgrounds.

You will be a skilled and reflective social work practitioner with demonstrable experience of working with severe mental illness in a community setting.

You will care co-ordinate a caseload of service users with mental health needs; assess new referrals including safeguarding and vulnerable adult referrals; and actively contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to the management of the health and social care needs of the users of our service. You will be familiar with the CPA process and report writing for Mental Health Review Tribunals. The role will include AMHP duties and being part of the AMHP rota (if qualified).

You will be joining a highly supportive and motivated team with a strong commitment to learning and practice development. You will be given regular clinical and managerial supervision.
