PROPERTY MANAGEMENT ASSESSOR

36 Hours per week

Fixed term contract to cover a Secondment
Salary: Grade F SCP24 £22,401 – SCP28 £25,463

Located at Wilshaw House, Wilshaw Lane, Ashton under Lyne

Tameside Adult Services is going through an exciting period of change through the development of Integrated Neighbourhood Teams. On line with this we have a 2 year secondment opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our Property management service, supporting people with disabilities in 24 hour supported schemes living in the community who are Younger and Older Adults.

You will be an effective individual working in a busy and pressurised environment, supporting people in their own homes, you will be responsible for managing the property side of accommodation working closely with tenants with varying degrees of disability, social complexities and vulnerability whilst liaising with the Support Providers, local authorities, and other departments within the Council; Registered Social landlords Private landlords, families and carers.

You will need to have adaptable people skills as you will liaise professionally with other Council departments, care providers, Legal and estates departments and our customers. You have a sympathetic but firm approach and remain calm under pressure with a methodical and efficient approach as you will be required to have good time management skills when multitasking. You will be a strong team player who is hard working, organised, enthusiastic and resilient, with the ability to logically deal with and manage sometimes complex situations/problem solving.

The duties and responsibilities are indicative of the role; however they are not exhaustive and may be subject to change. In addition, you will be required to undertake other reasonable duties as directed by your manager
Experience of working with adults, housing and previous experience in a similar position would be desirable. It is essential that you hold a current valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle for work use.

All staff are expected to carry out their job in compliance with the Councils Constitution. This means being familiar with the policies and procedures relevant to the job and asking for information and advice if you are unsure of the correct course of action.
