We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has good interpersonal and communication skills and is a suitably skilled and qualified candidate to join our small team for 12 months covering maternity leave.

You will be providing support, supervision and guidance to develop and maintain high standards within supported lodgings and staying put households.

You will be responsible for assessing the suitability of new applicants and be involved in the matching of young people with carers. You will offer support and guidance to providers, ensuring the accommodation meets our agreed standards and you will oversee payments to approved providers.

About the Role
As Supported Lodgings and Staying Put Coordinator, you will hold a case load of adult carers and provide regular guidance and support to ensure careers are competent in their role and providing high quality placements. You will oversee the development of providers and identify any training needs. You will provide supervision and undertake regular visits to carers. You will build relationships with the carers and young people and ensure young people are fully included in the planning processes. We’re looking for people who will instill a culture of continuous improvement, through dialogue with people who need care and support and their carers.

A typical day might include:
• Supporting providers and offering guidance to manage any issues and ensure smooth service delivery.
• Managing referrals coming into the service and matching them appropriately to providers.
• Developing appropriate publicity and advertising for the scheme to attract new providers.
• Liaising with key partners to support the scheme, providers and young people to achieve positive outcomes.
• Meeting with foster carers to discuss Staying Put arrangements
