Job Coach

Salary up to £22,451 p.a, Permanent

Our charity continues to grow and we are looking to recruit a team of Job Coaches to work across the Greater Manchester area, delivering a wide range of different exciting contracts – all of which help people to move on in life and create a better future through work and learning opportunities.

We are looking for people who can be flexible about where they work and adapt to different client groups.  The role will be based in our offices in central Manchester but you will travel to locations that may include schools, job centres, community locations and training venues.   There will also be a requirement to deliver services to hard to reach customers which may include some delivery from prisons in the northwest.

We are especially keen to hear from people who have worked in the Welfare to Work sector.  Advice and guidance experience would be helpful but not essential because we can provide the IAG Level 4 to successful candidates.  It is important that you can work to targets and understand the importance of achieving outcomes in your work.

As a Coach, you will undertake a peripatetic role, and cover different contract requirements.  We already work with young people and adult job seekers and our charity continues to develop new products and services in broader areas.  This means that we need a highly motivated and skilled team who can respond quickly, think on their feet, and work with minimal supervision.  All training will be provided; we don’t expect you to know all our different compliance and contract requirements on day one.

You will need to be comfortable with different ICT systems because all of our work requires you to be good at record keeping and accountable for your services.  During the intensive induction period, we will also help you to brush up on your coaching skills, motivational interviewing and group work sessions, so that when you’re given your first assignment you’re feeling confident about delivering a first class service to our customers.

If you’re ready for an exciting new challenge, please complete our application form and email it back before the closing date.    In return, we offer a salary up to £22,451 plus a bonus of £500 after 6 months and a further £500 after 12 months, depending on your performance.  We will also fund the IAG Level 4 if you are not already qualified.  We’re a great organisation to work for, fully committed to training and developing our staff.
