POPULATION HEALTH PROGRAMME OFFICER – PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

Grade: G SCP 29 £26,470 – SCP 32 £29,055

Fixed Term Contract for 2 years due to Specific Funding

Location: The Hub, Stockport Road, Mottram in Longdendale, Hattersley SK14 6NT

Tameside Population Health Team has an exciting opportunity for a flexible and enthusiastic Programme Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for project management and delivery against a set of priorities for physical activity, sport and movement as part of a Sport England Local Delivery Pilot.

You will be a great communicator and will be comfortable working across a Greater Manchester network as part of Greater Manchester Moving. You will have a demonstrable understanding of whole systems approaches, and will be able to exert influence across a range of disciplines and organisations in your achievement of project aims.

You will be a confident public speaker, possess excellent presentation skills, and have the ability to make information accessible to a range of audiences in a variety of formats. You will be required to deliver written and verbal reports to a high standard for senior stakeholders, so solid communication skills are required.

You will have experience of event planning and management, and will have an understanding of public engagement, consultation and co-design principles. Operating in a test and learn environment, you will be supporting projects with flexibility through uncertainty and change.

Candidates may, on occasion, be required to attend events on evenings and weekends with sufficient notice.
