We are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Family Intervention Worker to support, promote and identify Level 2 Early Help Support for families within the Tameside area. Ensuring support is offered at the earliest opportunity and identifying which service best suits the individual needs of families.
The Family Intervention Worker will be based within a new team at St Peters Children Centre within the Early Help Access point which is made up of Early Help Assessment Advisors, Neighbourhood Coordinators, Family Information Service (FIS), Early Help Social Workers, Early Help Family Intervention Workers and a Project Officer.
The Early Help Access Point is the front door for all families requiring support, advice and guidance. It is also the referral route for professionals requesting Early Help services for families which have been identified following the completion of an Early Help Assessment.
This developing role includes working in partnership with other services to effect real change for families and improve outcomes. You will be expected to take a lead role in communicating with families and partners to identify appropriate services within Early Help and to identify risks on the continuum of need that require a Social Care response. Candidates must have excellent communication skills.
You must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships with partner agencies and services and have a strong knowledge of Early Help Assessments.
The Early Help Access Point work with families with children and young people 0-19yrs, schools, children centres, health partners, voluntary organisations and other key agencies in developing sustainable changes for families.
