Manchester Young Lives [MYL] wish to appoint an English Teacher to work under the guidance of our Curriculum Lead and Senior Managers to teach across KS3 & KS4. MYL’s Independent School team provide a full time education provision for 14 -16 year olds not attending mainstream school, offering a broad and balanced curriculum which both supports and prepares our pupils for their next steps into further learning and employment.

The successful candidate will be passionate about working with young people, particularly those who have become disengaged. We are looking for an individual who can inspire others, to ensure all young people attending our school can achieve and succeed. Depending on the needs of the provision, additional subjects may need to be taught as required.

Candidates applying for the position should have a degree in the relevant subject area or appropriate practical experience of English related work. Previous experience of working with SEMH and/or in a PRU or inner city schools setting would be advantageous but not essential for this role.
