Salary Grade C: £10,441 to £10,650

2 x 20 hours per week.

Post 1:
8.15am - 12.15pm Monday to Friday

Post 2:
12.15pm - 4.45pm Monday
12.15pm - 4.15pm Tuesday
12.15pm - 4.15pm Wednesday
12.15pm - 4.15pm Thursday
12.15pm - 3.45pm Friday

The Council is committed to providing a high quality service to its customers and aims to satisfy enquiries at first point of contact.

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed, well-motivated individual to join our Customer Services Team to deliver a high quality service and support the Council’s vision. We are recruiting to part time roles but flexibility of hours is essential and additional hours may be available occasionally.

You will be based in Tameside One which includes council services and a new state of the art Library, Customer Services, Jobcentre Plus, Cash Box Credit Union and Citizens Advice.

Your role will be to greet customers visiting Tameside One including official visitors and assist with a wide range of customer enquiries including directing to appropriate services in a professional manner.

You will be working as part of a friendly team which includes college students and a commitment to providing excellent customer service is essential

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and will have good IT knowledge as the role also includes helping customers to self-serve through digital channels where appropriate.

Good interpersonal skills are required and ability to use initiative. Full support and training will be given.

This role is a designated customer facing role under the fluency duty and requires a specified level of spoken English in the person specification
