Trafford is a thriving, diverse, prosperous and culturally vibrant borough sitting at the heart of Greater Manchester. We have bold ambitions about the type of council we want to be, and we are committed to responding positively to the changing needs and expectations of our customers and partners.

Our people are our greatest asset and our developing People Strategy will support our colleagues who will play a key role in achieving our vision and corporate priorities. Our values are very important to us and these underpin the behaviours and complement our ways of working.

Our HR Service has recently strengthened its capacity so it can focus on supporting our workforce with the skills, knowledge and behaviours to be the best they can be. Working holistically with our HR shared service - GMSS in partnership with Greater Manchester Police, we have a great shared platform to strengthen and grow our HR talent and service offer.

We now have a great opportunity for you to be part of the HR/OD team in Trafford and play a key role in the delivery of workforce strategy across Trafford borough working with a range of partners.

About You

We are looking for an exceptional HR professional to undertake the role of Strategic HR Lead for developing and delivering the Trafford locality workforce strategy to enable workforce reform that supports our workforce to work effectively in changing delivery models across our health and social care arena.
You will influence and support the design of the Trafford locality workforce strategy in partnership with system leaders, the locality programme management office, external partner agencies and trade union colleagues to support delivery of TUPE, transformational change and reform across the borough.
You will have experience of working across the public sector system to achieve tangible change through effective collaboration and partnerships. You will be a self-starter and work autonomously to develop and commission and/or deliver a range of workforce interventions to support and enable workforce reform.
