St John Vianney Roman Catholic School is seeking to appoint a KS1-KS4 (SLD) Teacher on a Full Time Temporary contract till April 2018 for this non-maintained special school, supported by Salford Diocese.

Children and young people attend from various Local Authorities including Manchester, Stockport, Trafford, Salford, Tameside, Bury and Cheshire East. The school caters for boys and girls in the age range 5-19 years who have Moderate Learning Difficulties, Complex Needs, Autistic Spectrum Condition, and Speech and Language Difficulties.

The Governors seek to appoint skilled candidates to support children and young people with these particular needs.

We require teachers who:
· Can work as part of a team to plan and deliver a stimulating and engaging curriculum
· Inspire and motivate pupils
· Increase and strengthen our current teaching profile
· Demonstrate a track record of good and outstanding teaching practice
· Can provide evidence of recent successful class teaching including pupil progress data
· Have a positive outlook.
· Be highly motivated and flexible.
· Have a high expectation of themselves, colleagues, children and young people with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND).
· Have an understanding of safeguarding children and young people and be able to contribute to ensuring a safe environment
