Trafford Council is looking to recruit an experienced debt advisor to provide advice and support to residents across the Borough. Working closely with relevant teams across the Council you will support and advise clients on the most suitable solutions to their individual circumstances.  You will manage your own caseload, and must be capable of working under pressure, be able to work with a minimum of supervision, be self-motivated and be flexible to deal with changing workload demands. You will demonstrate an understanding of the benefits system including Universal Credit and have the ability to be patient with and supportive of, potentially vulnerable customers.

 

As part of the role you will work with a number of stakeholders to ensure partner working is maximised, and be a driver for change shaping direct links to organisations such as the Credit Union. You must be flexible and be able to work out of various locations across the Borough.
