Greater Manchester Shared Services are looking for an individual seeking a new and exciting challenge and an opportunity to support the new service centre based at Trafford Town Hall. You will need to be a self-motivated individual who is able to work in a fast paced customer focused environment and have a passion for shared service delivery.

You will work in a team responsible for systems administration, maintenance, support and training for all HR & Payroll systems. You will also provide on-going support and guidance to all systems users as well as developing and producing management reports to support the Council where appropriate.

You must have experience of developing, testing and implementing HR/Payroll systems, processes and procedures. You will be responsible for the integrity and quality of HR/Payroll systems/data, ensuring accurate HR, payroll, pension and accounting records requirements are met in accordance with business, statutory, audit and management needs. You will possess excellent ICT skills, experience of using computerised systems and a wide range of software packages e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience of working with Midland iTrent and Business Objects; and experience associated with management information and the drive and dedication to ensure robust and accurate reporting. You should have knowledge of statistical and analytical techniques and practical knowledge of the application of information governance legislation and guidance including data protection, freedom of information, data classification and security.

Trafford Council is currently working with a number of Partner organisations including Greater Manchester Police. Any appointment made to this role will be subject to the appointable candidate being vetted under Greater Manchester Police clearance processes.
