Fixed Term Contract – 12 months as this position is dependent on externally funding and pupil being enrolled
Band 4, Points 12 - 17 £21,589.00 - £23,836.00 pro-rata
Actual Salary - £16,574.00 per annum
Hours - 32.5 hours per week for 39 weeks working year
Working Pattern - Monday to Friday, 8.40am to 3.15pm (+1hrs training per week)

Manor Academy is a Special Educational Needs School with provision for pupils aged 11-18 based in Sale, Greater Manchester. We have an exceptional record of success with our pupils and maintain very high standards

Our curriculum and philosophies provide the opportunities for academic and social development that will enhance the life opportunities for our young people as they move into the adult world.

We are looking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our Post 16 department from September 2020.

Applicants will be expected to have good Numeracy and Literacy skills, spoken and written, be able to contribute to the marking of pupils’ work, and assist with the planning of specific learning programmes. Additional duties will include preparing materials and resources, and giving support to both staff and pupils as directed. Previous experience of working with ASD/SEN pupils is desireable.

You must have a caring, positive and flexible attitude with a willingness to work as part of a team, and the ability to use your own initiative and to work without supervision. Applicants should also have the ability to work flexible hours as/when needed.
