Social Worker/AMHP – Community Mental Health Team
Terms and Conditions: 37 hours per week
Grade G, £28,672 to £32,234 per annum to Grade H, £32,910 to £36,922 per annum
Additional AMHP payment on top of H grade, if AMHP qualified
We are looking for a motivated Social Worker/AMHP to join the Blackburn with Darwen Community Mental Health Team. We want someone who will strive to work hard for our service users and able to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
You will be based within a locality team alongside health and social care colleagues and be allocated a caseload working with people with complex mental health and social care needs. You will undertake care act assessments, care & support planning and reviews both in the community and hospital settings. Working with vulnerable adults you will be alert to potential safeguarding issues and able to respond appropriately. You must be able to prioritise your work dependent on risk and at all times be flexible and responsive.
We are looking for a recovery focused practitioner who will promote the best outcomes for service users, carers and their families. You will have a good working knowledge of the Care Act and relevant legislation including Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. We welcome applications from Best Interest Assessors.
Our AMHP Service is based within the Community Mental Health Team, and we are keen to see applications from qualified AMHPs. We recognise the AMHP role is a complex and demanding role that requires specialist skills, expertise and legal knowledge and pay our AMHPs an additional market supplement.
In return we will provide you with professional supervision, peer support, a commitment to your continuous professional development and access to good quality training.
It’s a demanding job within a busy service, but we’ve got a really supportive team and strong multi-disciplinary working practices in place.
Please note you will need to be registered with Social Work England. You will also need a clean driving licence and access to a car.
Salary will be negotiable based on skills and experience.
