Salary: Grade H. Scale 29 - £16,014.49 to Scale 34 - £18,437.99 with a profession bar at SCP 31

4. Professional standards practised to the highest expected level.

An 18 hour opportunity has arisen for the position of a Social Worker within the South Neighbourhood Locality Team. The team works with a generic caseload, supporting people with Learning Disabilities; Physical Disabilities and Older People across Tameside. The work is varied and consists of undertaking assessments and support planning; gathering information and attending safeguard meetings. Court; COPDOLS and undertaking best interest meetings and MDTs.

The team consists of social workers; assessors; health & wellbeing; manual handling and occupational therapists. Social Workers and Assessors work a 7 day week.

You will have experience of working creatively with adults to ensure interventions are specific to each their needs and wishes, delivering support within the home and elsewhere as appropriate.
You will need to have working knowledge of the Care Act 2014; the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and the amended Mental Capacity Act 2019.

You will need to have experience of going into the homes of a family in crisis and possess the ability to stay calm and empathetic to the adults and families you are working with.

This post requires an enhanced DBS Disclosure.
