An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as a Travel Co-ordination Officer within the Trafford Travel Co-ordination Unit.

Working on a geographical basis you will be expected to co-ordinate travel assistance and provision of transport for children, young people and adults. Working with external transport providers and key stakeholders in education, health and social care you will line manage passenger assistants who service a number of schools, colleges and social care providers.

With experience of working in a service that supports children, families and vulnerable adults with a range of complex needs you will have a sound understanding of a sensitive and complex area of work.

You will have knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities and be able to demonstrate insight into the issues facing children and the families of children with SEND.

With strong communication and assessment skills you will have the ability to develop effective working relationships with passenger assistants, families, contractors and other professionals.
